All funeral directors are required to publish a standardised price list covering a defined range of services and products. This ensures transparency, helps you consider available options, and allows you to compare prices between providers.

Below are answers to common questions about payment and billing.

When is payment required for unattended or simple cremation services?

Full payment must be received at least three working days before the funeral for unattended and simple cremation arrangements.

What are the payment terms for other funeral services?

For all other services, a deposit is required at least three working days prior to the funeral. This deposit covers third-party costs and 50% of our professional fees. The exact amount depends on the arrangements chosen.

When will the final invoice be issued?

Your final invoice is normally sent approximately seven days after the funeral.

How long do I have to settle the final balance?

Payment in full is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

Debit or Credit Card
Cheque
BACS Bank Transfer

Bank details will be included on your invoice.

What if I am applying for financial help from the Department for Work and Pensions?

Please inform your funeral director as soon as possible if you are applying for DWP assistance.

Is interest charged on overdue accounts?

If payment is not received by the due date, interest may be applied at 1.5% per month (or part month) until the balance is cleared.

What happens if an account remains unpaid beyond the agreed terms?

Overdue accounts may be passed to a debt recovery agency. Additional recovery fees and any legal costs incurred may be added to the outstanding balance.
