The Non-Attended Cremation
Often referred to as a Direct or Simple Cremation, this option is intended for those who do not wish to hold a formal funeral service.
We take pride in offering a more comprehensive unattended cremation than many providers. Your loved one is conveyed to a local crematorium in a hearse, accompanied by a Funeral Director and pallbearers. Music may be played on arrival, and our Funeral Director can read a short poem or prayer on your behalf.
Attended direct cremation options are also available — please speak with a member of our team for further details.
What's Included
- Natural effect coffin
- Pilato Mercedes hearse to convey the coffin to the crematorium, with a Funeral Director and pallbearers
- Transfer of your loved one into our care during office hours (within 10 miles)
- Appointment to view your loved one in our private Chapel of Rest
- Professional service charge
- Crematorium fee (Waseley Hills Crematorium)
- Up to six bereavement support sessions, if required
- A poem or prayer read by our Funeral Director

A £120 surcharge applies if transfer into our care takes place outside office hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5:30pm).

The Simple Cremation
Designed for those seeking a straightforward funeral with affordability in mind, this package provides a complete service at a modest cost.
What's Included
- Rowley veneered oak-effect coffin
- Pilato Mercedes hearse to meet at Wyre Forest Crematorium
- Transfer of your loved one into our care during office hours (within 10 miles)
- Dressing and preparation of your loved one
- Viewing in our private Chapel of Rest
- Professional service charge
- Choice of funeral date, time, and attendance
- Large grey scatter tube for the cremated remains
- Up to six bereavement support sessions, if required
- Wyre Forest Crematorium fee
- Doctor’s fee for completion of cremation certificate
- Minister or celebrant to conduct the service

Financial Assistance for Funeral Costs
If there are insufficient funds to cover funeral expenses, you may be eligible for financial assistance from the Department for Work and Pensions.
To qualify, the applicant (not the deceased) must receive one of the following:
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Pension Credit
Housing Benefit
The Disability or Severe Disability Element of Working Tax Credit
Child Tax Credit
Universal Credit
Mortgage Interest Loan Support
You may also qualify if you receive a Support for Mortgage Interest loan. You can still apply for a Funeral Expenses Payment if you have submitted a claim for these benefits and are awaiting a decision.
Please note that funeral payments do not usually cover the full cost of the funeral, and eligibility is not guaranteed. If approved, payment is made directly to the Funeral Director.
If you do not receive any qualifying benefits, financial assistance may be available through charitable organisations. Please speak with your Funeral Director for guidance.
